Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account or using Finlow ("the Platform"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, you may not use the Platform. These terms apply to all users, including Task Posters and Helpers.

2. What Finlow Does

Finlow is a two-sided marketplace that connects people who need tasks completed ("Task Posters") with skilled individuals who can complete them ("Helpers"). Finlow facilitates connections and payments but is not a party to any agreement between users.

3. User Accounts

• You must be at least 18 years old to use Finlow.
• You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure.
• You must provide accurate and truthful information when registering.
• Each person may only hold one account. Duplicate accounts will be removed.
• You must verify your email address to access the Platform.

4. Posting Tasks

• Task Posters must accurately describe the scope, budget, and deadline of any task.
• Tasks must be legal. Illegal, fraudulent, or harmful tasks are strictly prohibited.
• Task Posters agree to pay the agreed amount upon satisfactory completion of a task.
• Finlow retains 15% of each completed payment as a platform fee.

5. Applying to Tasks

• Helpers must only apply to tasks they are genuinely capable of completing.
• Cover letters and applications must be honest and professional.
• Accepted Helpers are expected to complete the task to the agreed standard and deadline.
• Helpers keep 85% of each payment. Finlow deducts 15% as a platform fee.

6. Payments

• All payments must be made through Finlow. Off-platform payments are prohibited and will result in account suspension.
• Payment is released to the Helper once the Task Poster confirms task completion.
• Finlow is not responsible for disputes arising from off-platform transactions.
• Withdrawal requests are processed within 3-5 business days.

7. Prohibited Conduct

Users must not:

• Use offensive, hateful, or discriminatory language anywhere on the Platform.
• Harass, threaten, or abuse other users.
• Create fake profiles or misrepresent their skills or identity.
• Post spam, scam tasks, or misleading content.
• Attempt to circumvent platform fees or payment systems.
• Scrape, reverse-engineer, or misuse Finlow's technology.

8. Disputes

If a dispute arises between a Task Poster and a Helper, both parties should first attempt to resolve it through Finlow messaging. If unresolved, either party may raise a formal dispute through the Platform. Finlow will review and make a final determination, which both parties agree to accept.

9. Account Suspension & Termination

Finlow reserves the right to suspend or permanently ban any account that violates these Terms, engages in fraud, or harms the community. Banned users forfeit any pending earnings if the ban is due to a violation.

10. Assumption of Risk

By using Finlow, you acknowledge and agree that any interactions, transactions, or engagements between users — whether in person or remotely — are conducted entirely at your own risk. Finlow is a technology platform that connects users and does not employ, supervise, direct, or control any Helper or Task Poster.

You expressly acknowledge that tasks arranged through the Platform may involve inherent risks, including but not limited to: physical injury, property damage, illness, emotional distress, or death. You voluntarily assume all such risks, whether known or unknown, even if arising from the negligence of other users.

Users are solely responsible for evaluating the suitability, safety, and legality of any task before posting, accepting, or performing it. Finlow strongly recommends that users carry appropriate personal insurance and take all necessary safety precautions.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Finlow, its owners, officers, directors, employees, agents, and affiliates shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages — including but not limited to personal injury, death, property damage, loss of income, emotional distress, or any other damages — arising out of or related to:

• Any interaction, meeting, or engagement between users, whether in person or online.
• The conduct, actions, or omissions of any user, whether as a Task Poster or Helper.
• The quality, safety, legality, or completion of any task posted or performed.
• Any accident, injury, illness, property damage, or death occurring during or as a result of task performance.
• Any disputes, claims, or legal proceedings between users.
• Any reliance on information, profiles, reviews, or ratings provided on the Platform.

Finlow is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. In no event shall Finlow's total aggregate liability exceed the lesser of (a) the fees paid by you to Finlow in the 12 months preceding the claim, or (b) one hundred US dollars (USD $100).

12. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Finlow, its owners, officers, directors, employees, agents, and affiliates from and against any and all claims, liabilities, damages, losses, costs, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or related to: (a) your use of the Platform; (b) any task you post, accept, or perform; (c) your violation of these Terms; (d) your violation of any law or the rights of any third party; or (e) any injury, death, property damage, or other harm caused by or to you in connection with tasks arranged through the Platform.

13. No Employment Relationship

Finlow does not employ any user. Helpers are independent individuals, not employees, contractors, or agents of Finlow. Task Posters are solely responsible for compliance with any applicable employment, tax, insurance, and workplace safety laws in their jurisdiction. Finlow makes no representations regarding the qualifications, background, or reliability of any user.

14. Changes to These Terms

Finlow may update these Terms at any time. Continued use of the Platform after changes constitutes acceptance. We will notify users of significant changes via email.
